Duration 10.00am – 4.00pm
For 2015 we will be covering novice XC in the Wednesday evening class lessons which start on the 22nd April. As with the clinics from previous years the cost will be £15 per session with a maximum of 4 riders in each group. We have tended to find the same people attended each clinic whatever we called them (some of our ‘young horses’ were getting decidedly long in the tooth) so thought it may be easier to try a more general lesson covering all 3 disciplines which people can duck in and out of instead of having to commit to three consecutive sessions.
Novice XC Clinic
This clinic will start in the outdoor school with various xc exercises to improve rider position and ensure the horse/rider partnership is happily working forward and listening to each other, and progresses onto the XC course enabling riders to tackle small ditches, banks and a variety of fences with confidence.
The clinic is progressive and priority will be given to those that can attend all three evenings. Maximum 4 riders per session.
Duration: 1 hour
XC Refresher Clinic
An evening clinic which gives riders the chance to iron out any XC problems and enjoy tackling some of the fences at Camp Hill. Groups afternoon and evening. Maximum size of group – 5 riders
Duration: 1 1/2 hrs
2 hr Training Session
2015 Dates: 6th April/4th May
The session will start in the arena with xc exercises designed to improve rider position and balance before learning how to confidently tackle a variety of xc fences in the open. If numbers allow riders may be divided into 2 groups of similar standard. Maximum size of group – 6 riders.
Novice XC Day – new for 2014
This is a perfect start to XC for the young horse or novice rider. The morning session starts in the school making sure the riders are adopting a safe xc position and the horse/rider partnership is happily working forward and listening to each other and progresses to an introduction to open spaces and banks. There will be a break for lunch and horses can return to their trailers or we can find a stable for them to relax in. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or the onsite Orangery Café has an excellent choice of hot and cold food and drink. Once you are sufficiently rested the afternoon session will go out onto the XC course so you can confidently tackle the wide variety of small fences Camp Hill has to offer.
Maximum size of group – 5 riders
Duration: 11.00am – 3.00pm
